I was paging through some of paper pad I have been hoarding and thought that some of the decorative pages would make a great birthday card. So just wanted to post this simple bright and cheery birthday card. I apologize for not taking a picture of inside of the card.
Hello! Today I am sharing the beginning of my obsessiveness for the box card. Baby shower card without revealing of baby gender.... so, Boy or Girl is the question of the day. The farm theme that I used for this card may have some people scratching their heads wondering why would I use the theme I did. Well, the reasoning behind the theme of barnyard pals..... I grew up in a farming community throughout my childhood years. A good share of my family and relatives still live within the surrounding areas. One of my cousins who's expecting her first baby, chose not to know gender of their baby when ultrasound was done.
It wasn't long and it's baby shower time. After giving a baby shower card some serious thoughts, I started tearing through my craft stash. I was still not feeling inspired. So I then decided to take a walk through at the nearby craft stores. I found myself browsing the stickers isle. The barnyard cuties caught my eye and brought a smile to my face. Not far away was the gender yet to be revealed sticker set. Bingo! I instantly became inspired for the baby shower card without being too girly, not too boyish. When assembling the barnyard pals, I realized that the dimensional stickers gave the card a puffy bulk that prevented the card from fitting in a normal envelope. Since I was going to ship gift box with baby items, why not make a decorated box to use for card. So here is my creative creation. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Masculine cards are sometimes challenging for me. But I must say that I am so happy I bought this layered dies set that gives more than one option to decorate a card. This set has several boat views and several people and fishing rods as well as the layers to use in different combinations. Gotta love it! The fishing layered die set is from Scrapbooking Made Simple.

I had to finally break down and purchase a Birch Press layered die set I cannot stop thinking about. Well, I must confess how much I love and dream about so many of the Birch Press products.

I love it and it was well worth the wait and learning a very important lesson about using caution and to pay very close attention when possibly shopping on eBay verses from the original company website or well established merchandise stores.

I want to warn everyone of an experience I had with attempting to purchase my first Birch Press die set. I was surfing eBay and happened to find a reduced price Birch Press die set, so I went ahead and purchased it. When package came to house, I noticed the package was stamped with several stamps as if this was an overseas shipping and an overseas store logo, but yet I thought I was purchasing from someone in USA. That was my first clue to this being a fraud case. I opened up the package and noticed the envelopes the dies were in were not original envelopes. And my third clue was that the individual dies did not measure up to dimensions listed on auction page. Well, long story short is that several conversations back and forth with Seller. I called Birch Press Designs to question if their measurements are exact dimensions or if approximate dimensions. Birch Press Designs are exact dimensions and if there is any measurements vary from what dimensions that are listed on their website are counterfeit fraud products. So I reported my eBay auction to be counterfeit fraud. Yikes what a nightmare! Beware and really check out eBay purchases to make sure the seller is not trying to pass off a counterfeit as an original product. Check the dimensions listed on the original company website and make sure it matches with the Sellers' product dimension. I now only buy my Birch Press Design products from Birch Press Design and Simon Says Stamp websites and if a local craft story has anything in stock. Just felt a need to share that story and hope no one else gets possibly ripped off for paying $55 for a counterfeit version of the product.

Sorry for the lengthy rant. I will go ahead and post. Thank you for stopping to visit.

Hope you have a wonderful day.

The cards that I am posting today are from Anna Griffin card sets. Earlier this year I was hospitalized and channel surfed upon HSN's Craft Day. Lucky me, huh? Well, it just so happened I had nothing else to do but lay in hospital bed and watch TV all day. Being laid up could have been a dangerous shopping spree, but as sick as I was feeling, I only purchased several items. I was hoping the purchase was going to make me feel better. That's my story and I am sticking to it. Good excuse for shopping, right?

When boxes of Anna Griffin's card sets came to house, I was still recouping from my recent illness and I had the chance to occasionally play with my new purchases. It was awesome to have a box filled with supplies and items already cut and ready to assemble. Note to self..... make sure I have a box or two on hand in case I am sick again. The pictures taken of the cards were taken shortly after I had assembled them, so the final touches were not yet done. But just wanted to make a post of my first time dabbling with the box cards and to admit how addicted I become with the box cards and this will explain some of my more recent posts to come.

The original order was to be identical to previous design posted, however, the client came back and requested something more beach related. After running several designs past the client, we quickly came up with a design. It would be my first attempt to personalize with couple's names and date. It may not be as perfect as I would have liked it to be but it is what it is. Making the Bride, Groom and parents happy is all that matters. Once I got final approval on all changes, I was off and running to complete the order. I was told that the wedding fans were a hit at their wedding.
Hot weather and decorative hand fan make a perfect match, right?
It was perfect timing of finding the amazing die of the couple right before taking on this wedding fan project. I kept it fairly simple and used the couple die for both sides and then had the Love sentiment on one side and the I Do heart for the other side.. The decorative fans were a true hit at the wedding. Everyone was talking about them. And the best man of the wedding party loved them so much that he put in an order for his daughter's beach wedding. How awesome and exciting was that!?!
Well, Well, Well, I am back yet again. Not going to explain and will sum it up by saying my absence is that Life got in the way of normal activities. I occasionally found time to work on some craft projects but did not post any of my finished work.

While sorting through photos, I found a photo of a card project for multiple Wedding Save the Date cards I worked on back in 2017 that I never posted. Unfortunately I cannot recall the description list of the supplies used.

I have done some crafting and cards throughout my blog absence. I can only say that life has gotten in way and hence absence from blog postings. I tried to find some pictures of some card creations done since last posting and I ran across my cards I sent out to family and friends this year.
I apologize for the imperfect picture.
I am sure some can relate to Holiday madness with long lists of things yet to do.... including not having my good cameras charged up yet. Phone is the next best thing, right? I took quick phone photos of this year's Christmas Card before frantically sending the cards out almost at last moments before the Holidays. Quality photo was not top priority and it shows..... yikes! Well hopefully I learn from this and do better next time. I should have made quality photo shooting as my New Year's Resolution, huh?
Yep, I am one of those unorganized people during the Holidays..... some years are worse than others. Maybe some day I can get organized during the season. Fat chance but a girl can dream, huh? LOL

I hope you like and enjoy it. Thanks for stopping in to view and visit my latest creations.
Hello Everyone. I hope your weekend is going well. Hot and in the 80s here today. I am feeling guilty for not being outdoors enjoying this sunny weather, but other things have priority. Instead I find myself indoors cooking up a storm of meals and heatin up the house. Go figure, right? Lol.
Recently my sister had an upcoming birthday where she was turning 50. I wanted to make her something special, unforgettable, crazy and funny...... did alot of thinking of the "special" birthday card. After much thought, I finally decided to step outside my normal cardmaking box and take on a project of taking the Head Over Heels Mini Album as my Sister's birthday card.
I spent hours staring at the mini album wondering and pondering as to what I was going to do with it. Yikes! What was I getting myself into. I had thoughts of there was no way I was going to pull off completing this project..... I just wasn't feeling it at times while I tried to assemble it. But I kept going and seeking out for that special look I wanted to put in card for my sister.
I dug through my stamps hoping something was going to jump out or trigger a spark to jump start my creativity again. Well, when I got to the AI Girlfriends collection, I knew I had found my starting point! There was several stamps from the AI Girlfriend collection that personalized things in common with my sister...... java mamas/Starbucks; workouts; extremely fun tubing trip; etc. Well, I guess enough chit chatting ..... time to reveal my newest masterpiece......

I apologize for camera being out of focus. I think it has a mind of its own. But, even with it being out of focus, I was able to catch a detail that had been overlooked. I fixed it before it was mailed out but forgot to take a updated picture for the blog. What I fixed was the camera view window that had the message from an inside page instead of what I wanted it to be. I wanted it to show 50 in that view finder spot. I kinda went alittle overboard on the cover of the mini album card with doing the over the hill/ old as dirt accents. Note to self.... do not go overboard with them next time. lol.
All in all, I had a blast working on this once I dug in and started to put it together page by page. I was not going to allow this multi page mini album to get the best of me...lol.
The part of the mini album that has a see through section... I wanted it to be a shaker filled with birthday deco; there are three sections to the shaker.... the outer layers have Happy Birthday pieces that face the correct directions, and then the middle section between the Happy Birthday sections is filled with party hats, balloons, and mini birthday cakes. I thought the 3 layers of shaker would make it more interesting and attempted to give it more dimension layers since it was a rather large area to be working with.
Now that my first mini album is done, I can say it was a huge challenge for me and there were times I did struggle with it ... and now sitting back and looking it over, there are some things I wished I would have done differently, But all in all, pretty happy with what I did and proud of myself for the completed project.
Thank you for stopping in to visit. Hope you enjoyed my newest masterpiece. truddabellzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16092902135081939081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4925417669798476506.post-56998114637916037822016-04-13T07:57:00.002-07:002016-04-13T07:57:40.604-07:00Fight Like A Girl Hello. Today I am posting my latest creation that I made for a very dear childhood friend of mine.
I have been meaning to send her out a card to tell her I am thinking about her. Of course, I got creative block while trying to come up with a perfect card to send her. But I happen to run across several things that just fell into place and I ran with it. I had recently watched a YouTube of Maymay Made It and found a "must have" for my stamp inventory. It is two stamp sets named Pray For The Cure Set and the Pray For The Cure Companion Set. Extremely fast shipping. Extremely awesome quality stamps. I am very happy with my purchase and wanted to share it with you. And while I was on a small spending spree, I happened to stop in at a local Tuesday Morning Store and found the perfect paper pad to go with the Pray For The Cure sets; and then I also had bought a "must have" die and stamp set from Scrapbooking Made Simple. This Die/Stamp set is the Simply Defined True Beauty Collection - Graceful. All three things just fell into place and all seemed to work very nicely together. Some of the things I wanted to use were a little large to use on normal card layouts, so due to the size, I thought outside the box and made up a unique layout I was happy with.
Take a look at my creation I put together with my latest purchases.
I just wanted to post a Holiday Greeting to all.
It is a gloomy and rainy day here and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to give a holiday greeting and post my most recent creation. I did multiple cards in same design for sending out to family and friends. I tried to keep them all with a clean and simple look.
This first photo does not really show the shiny white with gold sparkly paper used for the cross.
I overlooked this one in my saved files until now. I thought I would post it and share with everyone what an awesome shaker some background dies can make.
I got this new Snowflake die around the Holidays. I could not wait to find a little spare time to sit down and play around with a haul of goodies I had ordered from Scrapbooking Made Simple. I am in love with the specially designed sets that the owner, Stacey, of Scrapbooking Made Simple has created. The Snowflake Background Die is part of a collection set called the Simply Defined Winter Wonderland Collection.
Here is a picture of the die cut I was cutting out the snowflake on the lower levels and stacking the outer portion of the die to give the height needed for a shaker area.

Once the layers of the outer portion of the die cut were glued together, I then started to assemble the outer layers of the card before trying to finish up the shaker section. For the backing of the shaker section, I used a silver glitter paper for an additional bling layer dimension to shaker. Gold micro beads and round red sequence were used in shaker.

I thought I would try to make a banner for a birthday party I would be going to and to surprise the guest of honor with it. I know she loves The Greeting Farm Cheeky Beach girl as much as I do. Love TGF! I took and colored the Cheeky Beach girl three times in different colors. The banner letters were stencils that I traced and hand cut out. Yep you heard it correctly....all were hand cut and then glued onto another layer and hand cut again. Once the letters were layered to give a shadow affect, they were popped up onto the die cut banner piece. The flowers were sticker embellishments I had gotten from the Dollar Tree Store. The background banner pieces were from the decorative pack of DP that were all shiny patterns, but I am not sure the name of the company the pack is from. If I was to guess at it, I would guess it was a Recollection pack of DPs. The die cut used for banner is from what I do believe is the Postage Dies Set from SpellBinders. And then once all was assembled, I strung a sting through some of the holes of the edge design to complete the banner.
I hope you like and enjoy. Thanks so much for stopping in to view my latest creation.
This one is very dear to my heart since this is the special one I did for my Granddaughter. It seems rather fitting these days..... she is always taking her Mommy's phone for one reason or other.
I was rather upset and disappointed with the different glue I used to put this card together. I should have stopped what I was doing and took time to go buy my favorite Tombo glue I normally use. But I pressed on and did the best I could do with what I had at the time of working on the card. I guess I am chalking this up to live and learn...... do not use a new glue on projects until its been tested out on scraps before projects. Yikes what a space out moment!
The I Love You embossing folder was used in the background. I thought it would go well with the stamp choice and could be what was being texted on her phone. The stamp is named Evie which is from the Super Secret Stamp Club Collection of The Greeting Farm Company. I am so in love with TGF stamps! Awesome selections of stamps! The Embossing portion used as the sentiment was colored in with a glitter gel pen and then a colored heart from the St Valentine's Recollection collection from Michael's Store as the heart portion of the sentiment. I added a die cut from Memory Box Company to the bottom of the card just to break up the design paper a bit and make it appear a bit softer and blend back into the background. The heart layers used behind Evie are from the die cut set from Nellie.
I hope you like and enjoy it. Thanks so much for stopping in to view my latest creation.
I could not have asked for a better match! Awesome!! It took more time trying to find what I wanted to do than it took to do the card. Go figure, right?
I also found that the green color of Sparkle Foam Sheets from a variety pack I purchased from the Dollar Tree Store, to use for a variation of green color to add to make the card designs pop.
On top of the sparkle foam sheet, I then added the hearts designed layer done with the Cuddlebug Embossing Folder. I love, love, love this heart design embossing folder!!
I randomly added the little colored hearts with sentiments onto the embossed layer. These colored heart embellishments are from the Recollection's St Valentine collection set found at Michael's Store. The Happy Valentine's Day Sentiment is also from the Recollection's St Valentine collections and was stamped with one of the green shades of Momenta Inks I have in my stash.
And I also wanted to share what I did to the inside of the card. I realize it does not totally match up with the outside of the card, but I could not keep myself from making it randomly different design and use up some other supplies I also had bought at Michael's Store from that same St Valentine's Collection. It was like I couldn't stop with randomly using as many items as possible. Lol.
I hope you like and enjoy it. Thanks so much for stopping in to view my latest creation.
I was also blessed with spending quality crafting time with my Granddaugher for the day. What a great time we had!
It is amazing what one can find in their themed stashes. LOL. I came across a puppy stamp, and I just had to use it for one of my cards I wanted to send to family members. The puppy stamp is from the SP and Company. I think the SP and Company is a retired company. I love their stamps I was able to purchase..... awesome stamps! This puppy stamp is colored in with my Spectrum Noir set of markers I use when I am crafting with my Granddaughter. I then added a layer of different colored hairs to puppy with colored pencils. I used stickle type glitter glue on the larger hearts the puppy is holding, and a pink colored gel pen on the little hearts on the present the puppy is popping out of. The rounded sentiment of the I Love You is from a framelit die and stamp set from Stephanie Barnard which is called the I Love You and Happy Anniversary set. I added some sparkle sequence hearts in between each sentiment of the circle. Behind the puppy and the sentiment I used the mini hearts embossing folder. The sparkly frame layer is a sparkle foam sheet. I found the sparkle foam sheet variety pack with several different colors at the Dollar Tree Store.
Thank you for dropping in to view my latest creation.

Here is another card I did for another birthday. This card took a different path than the ideas I had in my mind on what I wanted to make..... but I thought it wasn't too bad and cute enough to share with everyone who stops in to view my creations. Of course I am beginning to repeat myself when I say... I did not have a sentiment to say what I wanted it to say and one that would bend around the die cut I used for this card design.... so again I decided to free form it since it was a card for family member. I was limited in embellishments at the time I was putting the card together, so I went with something close in color that I found within my stash. The stamp is from CC Design, the Mashi Collection. I just love that collection of stamps.....they put a smile on my face every time. I hope it does the same for everyone who drops in to view this too.

I realize it has been a long span of time since my last posting. My life took some unexpected turns and things were quite chaotic and crazy to say the least.....filled with some family issues, other personal issues and then the loss of my cat Travis-a-meow. I lost my creativity and was unable to do any crafting for a long span of time.
I thought perhaps with the beginning of the new year, I would try to get back to doing some crafting. I was able to get a little bit of creativity back and have created several cards. I am just now finding time to post the cards.
This card I used a stamp which is from The Greeting Farm and the stamp is from the Anya Collection. The background of the card is several design papers that were in my stash but I am not sure from what company. The birthday design background is an embossing folder I have. I think the embossing folder might be from Darice. I colored Anya from TGF with colored pencils and colored the embossed areas with water colors. I could not find a Birthday greeting that would bend with the decorated area in which I wanted the greeting to be in, so I free formed it with a sparkly gel pen.
What a hot and humid day for all those hotties. I hope everyone is having a great day! It's in the high 90s again. Sizzling steaks! Who needs to fire up the grill when you can most likely cook them on the glass patio table because it's sizzling hot. Yikes!
I gotta show you what my cat who's nickname is Travis ( short for Travis-A-Meow) is doing for his special day. Doesn't he do a fabulous job of modeling his special favorite past time activity. LOL.

On a more serious note. My honey and myself, we are trying to make the best of it.... I only get to spend a half day with my honey before he gets back on the road in what we call his "rolling man cave" ( his 18 wheeler). I wanted to make sure he was leaving with a smile.... so....I had to make sure I made his card with a little humor. I guess I accomplished my mission...... He got a good chuckle out of the sentiment I used on his card. Actually the truth be told myself, my Daughter and Granddaughter got a good giggle or two out of it too. I hope you do too.

The card is done with two layers of embossing folder designs of wood grain on the dark brown paper, and the tree embossing folder on the light green paper which has tan coloring within it. The two stamps - the giraffe and lion are both from CC Design's Safari Pals stamp set. Adorable! How cute are they?!? Well of course I could not resist the humor in using the word lion in my sentiment. The two cuties are colored with colored pencils.
KK's card for Grandpa... She also used some stamps from CC Designs - two princesses from the Princess Stamp Set. She used colored pencils to color the two princesses. She went through the paper inventory and picked out her design paper and card stock. I am very surprised for no bling on it. I guess she must not have found any embellishments in my stash that she liked for this card. Also surprised she didn't suggest and beg to go shopping for some. Lol.
We spent our day working on cards for the one year old baby's birthday party taking place later that day. We were extremely excited to have gotten the TGF Ever After Stamp Kit ( a pre-ordered stamp set offered by TGF ) earlier in the week. We had a blast stamping up the full set of royal princesses and princes. Trying to decide which ones to start coloring was a slight challenge. LOL. Our day went by so quickly while we were crafting away on this Ever After Stamp Set.
Here is KK's card she did for the birthday party she was going to later in the day......

She colored in the snowy background with blue crayon, then colored in the TGF Holiday Anya 2 with glitter colored gel pens and some areas like the face with color pencil. She used a blue glitter gel pen for the stamped snow flakes that come with the Holiday Anya stamp. To put the finishing touches on her card, she decided to add sparkly hearts from Grandma's Valentine Stash container.
For the inside of her card she used her Kindergarten skills to write a personal note to the birthday girl who was turning one year old, along with adding some more of the valentine goodies she found in my stash.

As for my birthday card creation, I struggled with a bit of creativity block and the attempt of deciding on a card layout. I finally decided to do a royal picture mural type card so I could use the adorable castle stamp with the royal couple I chose from the TGF Ever After Stamp Kit.
Crafting with my Granddaughter KK can be rather crazy and filled with humorous things. I love family time and enjoy every moment of it and will cherish it forever. So in this crafting session, she was filled with helpful hints for my crafting projects. So, here is several brief examples...... While I was coloring my castle, and the royal couple, I had comments coming my way from KK was critiquing my work. She insisted on the princess having lipstick. I wasn't going to do it on this card, but she kept on insisting so, "Ok, I will do it just this once". Then while I was laying out the couple and castle onto some design paper and cardstock, along with some cute Happy Birthday ribbon I had within my stash.... KK said I needed more on my boring card. She wanted me to add some bling and huge hearts onto the card..... I settled for slightly smaller shiny hearts for the corners, and then a slightly smaller set as well as for her headband. I finally got the approval on my finishing touches of the card. So here is my card creation I put together with the helpful advise from my 5 year old granddaughter.

The TGF Ever After royal couple and the castle were colored with colored pencils. The finishing touches of hearts were from two different Recollections series of hearts. The Happy Birthday ribbon is from my stash and I do not recall from where I purchased it from. The inside of the card was done up with the same shiny hearts used on front of card. I used a Disney Castle frame design to frame the sentiment greeting. For the sentiment, I attempted to copy the handwriting used on a Recollection stamp set. I did not have a matching ink nor embossing powder for using stamped sentiment, but I did have a close matching color of a sparkly gel pen.....so below is my lame attempt to copy the handwriting of the stamp. Later, after I had finished and assembled the card is when the thoughts of 3rd or 4th generation stamping may have been the best solution to a great looking sentiment. Here is my sad attempt to copy the writing of my stamps from the Recollections stamp set of birthday sentiments.
Can it ever be too early to start on Christmas cards? Lol. I can't help loving some my Christmas stamps and every now and then I find myself rummaging through the Christmas stuff. Of course, I could not leave well enough alone and had to stamp and color me up a cutie from my Christmas stash, right?? Lol. Hopefully this strong urge to go through my Christmas stuff this early in the year will make me look extremely organized and on top of things. Hee hee hee with a wink. Most of my family and friends will be rolling around and laughing hard and saying Yeah Right/ Dream On!
Red cardstock and design papers of background are from Recollections. Sheer Christmas Ribbon with Snowflakes is toward middle of the layered design paper for an additional layer. Stamp is La La Land Crafts' Christmas Elf Marci which has been colored with colored pencils and topped off with a bit of glitter glue for a slight bling effect. Sentiment is also from La La Land Crafts.
Thanks so much for stopping in to view the newest of my creations. It's enough to make your head spin. Yikes! Somewhere in the month's busy scheduled activities, I had to find some much needed time for getting some cards made for the special celebrations happening on Memorial Weekend.... Wedding and two graduations. Since the graduations were for two sons in same family, I kept it so both cards had same card design and layout. On the front of the Graduation Cards I kept it simple with using the Darice Graduation Embossing Folder on light blue paper that coordinated with the design paper and blue card stock background/card. I found some ribbon which had a Congrats Grad! Hats off!! sentiment on it which I put on top of another ribbon with same colors to set off the 1st ribbon as well as giving card another dimension to card. The card was still lacking something something, so I added pearls since I did not have sequence or bling in blue color. I tried to make it work.....not exactly what I wanted to use but it'll have to do.

The inside of the card has the same embossed design on top portion of the card. Two sentiments from the Autumn Leaves Borders Celebrations Stamp Set. These two sentiments seemed to match up well with the sentiment on ribbon on the front of the card. The two sentiments were inked up with the Brilliance Pigment Ink in Pearlescent Sky Blue. I love the color and sparkle it gives!

For the Wedding Card, I used the Darice's Heart Background Embossing folder as the layered background. One of the Spellbinder's Nestabilities Scalloped Hearts to cut a window in the middle of the layered background. And within the heart window opening is a Bride and Groom which was made from the Darice's Bride and Groom Embossing folder. The card stock as well as the layered embossed pieces of the card were done from a shiny shimmery white card stock. The camera could not even show the true beautiful and elegant look the shiny shimmery cardstock layers gave this card.

I was so in love with the design layout, that I repeated the design on the inside of the card. I put a decorative Congratulations ribbon at the bottom of the design layout.

And again I thought I would use up some leftover pieces I had on the back of the card too.
We were invited to a Birthday and Mother's Day Celebration Party of some friends down the street. I have no cards in my stash, so I had no choice but to try to whip up multiple cards for the friends that would be attending the small gathering as well as one for the Birthday Boy of the day too.
Well, when I went looking for the pictures to post for this entry, I guess I forgot to take a pic of one of the Mother's day cards. The card in which I cannot find photo for is a card using the retired Manhattan Floral Embossing Folder by Stampin' Up which I embossed on some shiny white paper and cut it out and then popped it onto a colored card and it was stamped with a Happy Mother's Day sentiment. I was able to find the photos of the other cards needed for the day's festivities.
This card is made up of the La La Land Crafts Sweet Friends Marci stamp colored with Spectrum Noir Markers, SpellBinder's Oblong Scallop, and a Frame Emboss Folder which was cut out to frame the card.
Card below is made up of the La La Land Crafts Saluting Luka which was colored with colored pencils. It was my second attempt of camouflage. It's an improvement from my first attempt, but I still have a ways to go before I will master the camo look. The green cardstock starry background is the Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Stars Embossing Folder. The card's sentiment Celebrate! is from Darice's Birthday Embossing Folder Boarders Set. Celebrate! sentiment was embossed on brown paper and colored it with a Metallic Copper Bronze Pen.
Since this a retired Marine friend, a Birthday salute would be an awesome fit. I thought of a cute little saying to put inside the card to mention the lil' gift of the 24 pack of beer we were giving him.
The inside saying said - A special salute for you on this special day.... a 24 can salute is being done in your honor to celebrate your special day. Here is to ya good buddy! followed by a Happy Birthday greeting. He loved it! He laughed at how I personalized the salute.
I am so glad that I could make his day a bit more special than it already was. It's amazing what a card can do. It is also amazing to see what personalizing the card can do too.
