Card Making: GVT Challenge

I really didn't think I was going to find time to squeeze in a card for this week's challenge, however, it fell right into a card project I was doing anyways for a birthday on this coming Wednesday.  My initial thoughts were Ariel mermaid related since the Disney movie of Ariel is being re-released and it was her favorite movie.  This week's color scheme fit in very well with my thoughts on mermaid.....


The card is made up of pink and black card stock, I think the dp is Cloud 9, generic greeting stamps from Michael's Store, TGF mermaid, coloring done with colored pencils, white, light and dark pink pearl embellishments.  I even tried to attempt to add layer of fishes to the ones already on designer paper.

Frozen In Time

I was shocked at how effortless this card all came together.  One day after school,  my Granddaughter KK and myself were stamping and coloring up some new stamps I had gotten in the mail.  One of the stamps we were working with was the Super Secret Stamp Club Hooded.  I started coloring the Hooded girl and before I know it, KK is commenting that its reminding her of Elsa from the Disney movie Frozen.  She gave me a great idea and I ran with it....Frozen theme....Hmmm.  It did not take me long to think up something, and I knew exactly what paper I wanted to use and then started digging through my embellishment supplies to find something closely related to frozen theme. Got to just love it when the creative process just flows smoothly.  So, here is the finished card.  I hope you like it and thanks for stopping in to take a look. Birthday Greetings

     A quick post of a birthday card I needed to send out at last minute so it would not be considered late belated greeting.  I was paging through some of paper pad I have been hoarding and thought that some of the decorative pages would make a great birthday card.  So just wanted to post this simple bright and cheery birthday card.  I apologize for not taking a picture of inside of the card.
