Don't Open til Christmas

Image
I am beaming with joy and excitement to finally make an exciting announcement!! I have been invited to be a GTD!!   I am very thankful to be given this amazing opportunity to partake in guest designing in the following challenge blog  http://7kidschallengeblog.blogspot.com/ .  I want to give a huge shout out of thanks to www.7kidscollegefund.com for asking me to be a guest on the challenge blog!       It was a blast trying to come up with something cute.  Wow, I had forgotten just how much Christmas stuff I had collected throughout this past year.  As I started going through some of my Christmas stash, I came across something that brought a smile to my face along with a bit of Christmas spirit and all the excitement of all the holiday festivities.  What a cute way to share with others the holiday spirits than to color up this cute pie La La Land Christmas Elf and put him on a holiday decorated card. Supplies used on this card are:  Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, Christmas Elf L

Baby Blue Christmas

Image
Great to have an extended weekend to get a little well needed time for craft projects and card making.  I was pretty excited to see the new FFF Challenge was the color schemes of Baby Blue/Silver/White.  I instantly had a vision of what I wanted and away I went to create a hard copy of my vision..... Thanks for stopping in and taking a peek.  I hope you like it...... Materials used are sparkly white card stock, grayish almost silvery shimmer cardstock, TGF Christmas Anya stamp colored with colored pencils, design papers I got as goodies from Yumi & Fumi Handmade, baby blue bling, and snow flakes painted blue.  And the use of a Spellbinders shape.  I was excited to finally get a chance to use the ribbon that I bought last year during a huge After Christmas Sale shopping haul.  And I was very glad it fit right into this week's challenge colors.  :)

Sparkling Anniversary

Yikes!  It's been awhile since I last posted anything.  I guess busy schedule and medical issues have kept me away.   Medical issues have kept me from crafting, so every now when having a good day, I will try to squeeze in some much needed crafting time to keep me sane.  Lol.  With Thanksgiving practically knocking at our door, I needed to get a very special card put together for my daughter's 1st Wedding Anniversary.  Hard to believe a year ago, I was swimming in making massive wedding centerpieces, and decorations I had for the reception hall along with a house full of family and friends for a huge Thanksgiving Dinner the day before the Wedding festivities began.  Hard to believe its been a whole year!  Wow!.  So, I decided to whip up a little card for their special day.

Card Making: A Latte Hi

Image
Over the weekend I found a little time to put together an autumn card.  This card is a combination of two challenges of the TGF that I have been wanting to create a card for.  So this creation came from attempting to combine both challenges of autumn colors and tag.  The card is made up with light brown card stock, several design papers, TGF stamp colored in with colored pencils.  I could not make a decision of which color ribbon to use, so I ended up putting both on.  The orange ribbon accented the colors I used on TGF stamp and made it pop, while the green color matched so nicely with the green found in the background design paper.  So here is my newest creation.....

Card Making: FFF Challenge

The FFF Challenge this week is for being Thankful.  This is what I put together for this week's FFF Challenge: Three different design papers along with dark brown and gold card stock used for card.  The stamp is Inkadinkado, TGF stamp which is colored in with colored pencils.

Card Making: GVT Challenge

I really didn't think I was going to find time to squeeze in a card for this week's challenge, however, it fell right into a card project I was doing anyways for a birthday on this coming Wednesday.  My initial thoughts were Ariel mermaid related since the Disney movie of Ariel is being re-released and it was her favorite movie.  This week's color scheme fit in very well with my thoughts on mermaid..... The card is made up of pink and black card stock, I think the dp is Cloud 9, generic greeting stamps from Michael's Store, TGF mermaid, coloring done with colored pencils, white, light and dark pink pearl embellishments.  I even tried to attempt to add layer of fishes to the ones already on designer paper.

The Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge is for Ana-liscous using any Anya or favorite one.  I created a card for my mom who is recovering from a knee replacement surgery.  I wanted her to know I was thinking of her while she is laid up and hopefully it would bring a bit of a smile to her face and enjoyment and brightness into her days of recovery.  So, here is what I put together to be sent off and also used for my challenge this week too.

Card Making/August Retro Fresh Challenge BDay Hoopla

Image
This past weekend I had to make a card for my Granddaughter's birthday on the 26th of August.  Since I was making up a birthday card, I decided to enter it into The Greeting Farm's August Retro Fresh Challenge for Birthday Hoopla.  Of course this was specially made for my Granddaughter who is all about the color pink and anything to do with princesses.....and then I added 4 balloons to symbolize her turning four years old.  Here is the creation I came up with.  Card contents are a pinkish card stock, along with black paper and patterned paper of pink cupcakes, and shiny patterned paper pieces of various shades of pink, and three different patterned paper pieces used on castle.  The shiny paper pieces were cut and put behind the castle to make it appear like it was light rays coming off the castle like spot lighting affects. Embellishments used are pink blings, sticker balloons, and string for each balloon. Stamp is TGF Princess Anya and is colored with colored pencils.

Card Making/GVT Challenge for 08/26/2013

The Greeting Farm's Garden Variety Tuesday challenge is a color theme which are colors inspired from the citrus fruit family of cantaloupes, watermelons, and limes.  Extremely cool color scheme I could not wait to see what I could create......So here is my final creation using the color pallet of the challenge of the week.  Materials used were colored papers of Mango and Citrus, along with a patterned paper but cannot remember from which company off hand, decorative ribbons, and flowers and TGF stamps of Wendy and Peter Pan.  Stamped images were colored with colored pencils and Wendy's skirt is a pieced pattern paper.

This week's Fresh Farm Friday Challenge is "Anything Goes".  I, myself, found the biggest challenge this week to be able to find spare time for crafting.  So many ideas and not enough time to make them come to life......so with what time I was able to find, I decided to use the card I was making for family member to put in for this week's challenge of "Anything Goes".

This card was done for  The Greeting Farm's Garden Variety Challenge.  This week's challenge was about using stickers along with the main character being TGF related.  So here is the creation I came up with for this week's challenge...... Materials used is pink card stock, black paper, Happy Birthday pattern paper, other patterned papers used for the balloons, the 80's Anya, outfit was patterned pieced and the rest was colored with colored pencils, and then a variety of sparkling bling stickers to finish it off.  Hope you enjoy it.  Thanks for dropping in to view my newest creation.

Within past couple of weeks, I found some spare time to work on a TGF challenge they were running. The Greeting Farm's Garden Variety Tuesday challenge was to use a color scheme of yellow, aqua, grey and black.  So, here is what I came up with: I used yellow textured card stock, layer of black paper, patterned paper of grey with white flowers, pattern papers of  yellow and various shades of aqua blue used for stenciled palm tree and tikiis.  Coloring of Hula Anya was done with colored pencils.  And flowers with pearl embellishments, floral black/aqua ribbon were used to add more decorations along with only a message taken off a decorative birthday stamp I picked up from Michael's or AC Moore.

Card #5: I had started this card to be in a TGF challenge, but I did not complete it before challenge deadline.  So I completed it and used it as a birthday card to a good friend/neighbor of mine.  Stamp is TGF Surfer Ian colored with colored pencils, textured blue card stock sand papered, pattern paper which is ocean wave related, fun in the sun stamp with silver shimmering color, cut up scrolling embellishments used for waves.  Inside of card had same patterned paper with two message stamps.

I have been doing all sorts of arts and crafts but this is a new branch of craft work to me.  Here it is in the year 2013, and I have not yet dabbled into the scrap booking/card making worlds yet.  So, I found myself wanting to do so.....So I have recently started purchasing supplies in the past 6 months to start my new adventure into the card making world.  I know everyone has to start somewhere, and of course my first one is pretty simple.  I am sure I will look back on it someday and get a good chuckle on this first attempt of my card making creativity and skill level.  So here I go with sharing the first masterpiece of mine. Lol.  My card #1:
