On The Road Again Birthday

Hope everyone is rolling smoothly into summer mode.....  another muggy day today here along the Eastern Coastline of the Carolinas.  And shortly after getting done with my work week, the dark clouds start rolling in and within no time it starts to sprinkle and then storming and pouring down rain like crazy!   Yikes, not even my dog wants to go outside for last call of the evening.   But before I  turn in for the night I want to quickly post another card I did for yet another upcoming birthday this week.
I seem to find that there are too many birthdays in the summertime and not enough time to get them all done.  It's really hard to keep up at times, but like always I just keep working away at it and putting best foot forward and get it done.  Like Larry the Cable man would say, "Get 'er done".  Lol.  If my daughter was around, she would say "Oh Mom!" along with an Ugggh in it too.  Lol.    I can't help it I have such a strange sense of humor.  Please forgive me.    Now back on track and without further chatting on and on and on.......
Here is yet another masculine card for one of those special men that are so dear to my heart.
I wanted to have something for a theme of "this is how we roll" and "on the road again".  I begin to dig through my stamp stash to see if I could find something  that fit the themes......and sure enough look at what I  found.  Stamp is Outlaw Luka from the La La Land Crafts Company.  I had been experimenting this past week or so with different homemade backgrounds for cards and had this one laying around just waiting to be used.  The background blue sky and  the what I like to call the Hot Wheels Luka (actual name is Outlaw Luka) are colored with color pencils.  Little OMS was used but I left alot of the coloring on the raw, rough and rugged look for a more masculine touch.  Even attempted it with tearing paper for the grassy layer of background.  Of course I had to add some finishing touches onto it with two metal brads (not sure which company) and some Happy Birthday ribbon I think that might be from a Martha Stewart collection set I picked up either at Walmart or Michael's Store.
Thanks for stopping in to view my latest creation.  I hope y'all have a happy and scrappy day!
